Roxanne and Jersey are Rescued from NJ

BREAKING NEWS!
Azrael Acres has rescued 2 horses from a kill pen in New Jersey

Thank you Camelot Feedlot Horse Rescue

It was Thursday morning 2/17/11 when it was decided the little 3 yr. old Palomino gelding would be rescued, so the call was made and he was purchased. We couldn’t, however, get just one, so thanks to many generous donations by wonderful friends, we were able to save one more, a 4 yr old Thoroughbred mare. We hooked up the trailer, and Lou, Faith, Danielle & Sarah left the farm at 3AM Saturday morning, 2/19/11, arriving to the Camelot Feed Lot right as they opened. Paperwork was transferred and horses were loaded. (we wished we could take them all!)

Here they are in their respective feedlot pens when we arrived.

We decided the TB Mare’s name is
Roxanne aka Roxy and the Palomino Gelding’s name is Jersey aka “The Situation”
Cute, right?!?!

Here they are when they first get unloaded to their quarantine area, so they can settle and stretch their legs.
